  1. Greetings and salutations from an ACW enthusiast in Scandinavia!
Great site. Extremely interesting, and well laid out. I only wish there were this kind of interest and enthusiasm where i live. I aim to build a portrayal of a sharpshooter from the 30th Virginia, and this site has been enormously helpful and very inspirational. Thanks and all the very best for the future.

  2. My Grandfather, John Jefferson Traywick and Uncle William, Bill, Traywick were in Co. E, 2nd Battalion Georgia Sharpshooters . Bill was killed at the battle of Chickamauga. My Grandfather, Jeff, was home,Chestnut creek, Alabama, on Furlough from the Atlanta Hospital hospital when the battle of Chickamauga took place. To think , I am here today because my Grandfather had the squirts and was home on medical furlough. Ha ! I enjoyed your site !

  3. My Gr. Great grandfather was J.J. Traywick of Co. E , 2nd battalion Ga. Sharpshooters. His name was John Jefferson Traywick. Jeff and his older brother William Traywick, Bill, both served in this battalion. Bill was killed at Chickamauga while Jeff was home on furlough at Chestnut Creek Alabama. I was thrilled to see the Battle flag. Research I have done several years ago said this Battalion surrendered at Meridian, Ms. in May 1865.

  4. Great website Gene!
My family and I met your reenactment group at Barrington Hall in Roswell in July 2014. We thoroughly enjoyed the day! My great great grandfather, William Pratt Lamb served with the 64th Illinois, Company F. Keep up the great work!
